If you live in Edinburgh and are looking for a reliable dog walking or dog home boarding service, give me a call. Whether it's a regular dog walk or an overnight stay, I will care for your precious pooch as if they were my own. 

I have many years of pet care experience. I am fully insured, DBS checked, and Canine First Aid trained, so you can rest assured that your dog is safe in my care.

Your dog will be collected from your home in my vehicle (details here), and will receive a one hour walk in a small group. Two time slots are available, so you will be sure to find the perfect option to suit your schedule.

About Me

I started Beach Walkies in 2023, after more than a decade as an artisan furniture maker. For 12 years, I designed and built fine furniture, with highlights including commissions for Edinburgh Castle, teaching furniture making, and selling work across Europe.

During the pandemic I was struck with long Covid, and walking friends’ dogs played a big part in my recovery. It reminded me how much I love being outdoors, and how natural it feels to spend time with animals. That experience led me to make the switch: from working with wood to working with dogs—a dream come true.

My connection with animals goes back to childhood. I grew up on a farmhouse where we kept sheep, alongside a collie who was very much part of the family. Later, in my twenties, I lived in the Scottish Highlands and formed a close bond with a farm collie there. Looking back, those relationships planted the seed for what I do now: giving dogs the care, companionship, and exercise they need while spending my days in nature.

As Beach Walkies grows, I’m excited to keep learning and developing my understanding of dog behaviour. On the horizon are a dog-sledding trek in Norway and specialist training in canine behaviour—experiences that will help me bring even more insight and care to the dogs I walk.
