Your Dog, Safe and Happy

Rest easy—your dog will be cared for like one of my own. My top priority is loving, attentive care and a walk that’s both enjoyable and safe.

Safety First

Your dog’s safety comes before everything else. I choose familiar routes and check for potential hazards—like gaps in hedges near roads or hidden drops to water—so adventures stay secure.
Dogs thrive on routine, so returning to well-known spots helps them feel calm, confident, and happy.

I also avoid very muddy, swampy areas because of the (rare) risk of Alabama Rot. It’s uncommon, but I take sensible precautions to minimise exposure.

When we get home, I’ll make sure your dog is as clean as possible. Winter can be messy, but towel-drying and a quick rinse when needed are all part of the service.

Play, Fun & Exercise

Every walk is tailored to your dog’s personality and needs.

  • Social butterflies who love to run and play will find a ready playmate in the St Johns Walkies gang.

  • Quieter souls get a gentle, unhurried stroll.

  • Independent leaders can take the front and “show the way.”

  • And the snugglers? We’ll pause under the trees for cuddles and fuss.

I keep walks fun and enriching, with plenty of sights, smells, and sniffing—because mental stimulation matters just as much as exercise.

Weather

Rain doesn’t stop play—as long as it’s safe, we’re out.
During extremes of heat or cold, I’ll contact you to agree the best plan. That might mean a shorter or earlier walk, or a home visit. Your dog’s welfare always comes first.

Love, Loyalty & Connection

Trust takes time. Regular bookings help us build a bond so your dog relaxes and responds to me. Using both Dog Walking and Home Boarding through the year means I become a friendly, familiar face—more like an extended family member than a stranger. Many dogs treat their stay as a holiday of their own!

Home Boarding is very limited, so please book ahead—I’d hate to be full and disappoint your do
